Email your OBJECTIONS about the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Planning System Reforms) Bill 2025:
TO:
- Premier Chris Minns
- Opposition Leader Mark Speakman
- Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully
- Scott Farlow, Shadow Minister for Planning and Public Spaces
- Matt Cross, Member for Davidson
- Alister Henskens SC MP Member for Wahroonga

BECAUSE THE BILL:
- will not solve the housing crisis
- will not provide affordable housing for our children and essential workers
- bypasses environmental assessment & community consultation through a new Targeted Assessment Development (TAD) pathway
- weakens development standards
- ignores key environmental impacts
- removes environmental protections
- switches off protections for threatened species to fast track development
- centralises power
- gives extraordinary power to the Planning Secretary to override independent experts in government departments, local government and the community
- increases risk of corruption
- remove local government powers to protect their environment
- it will silence communities by creating a single community participation plan despite the huge differences in development needs and types across NSW
- removes local democracy
- reduces public consultation
