 Opening keynote: Prof Marcia Langton AO on protecting Aboriginal cultural landscapes Distinguished academic, Prof Marcia Langton AO, will deliver a keynote address exploring how Aboriginal-led approaches are reshaping heritage practice and protection of Country. Drawing on decades of research and policy leadership, Prof Langton will reflect on what it means to protect Aboriginal cultural landscapes in a changing world. A panel discussion of Aboriginal heritage leaders and practitioners will follow, sharing practical insights into centring Aboriginal knowledge systems to care for Country. |
| Future-focused discussions: Strategic direction of heritage; housing reforms |
  Join thought-provoking conversations on opportunities and challenges facing the heritage sector. Heritage NSW will share feedback from draft NSW Heritage Strategy consultation, and how this is shaping the State strategy’s finalisation and implementation. A panel of planning and heritage experts will explore how recent housing reforms are influencing heritage protection. They’ll discuss balancing housing supply with successful heritage outcomes. |

| Internationally recognised heritage expert Prof Tracy Ireland will deliver the closing keynote, inviting us to reflect how heritage practice can evolve in response to changing community values and global shifts. Drawing on her extensive research, Prof Ireland will examine challenges and opportunities facing heritage in today’s fast-changing, technologically driven world. A panel discussion will follow, with heritage thinkers and practitioners addressing how heritage practice can remain relevant and inclusive into the future.  |
