Since January 2025 Ku-ring-gai TOD STATE SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT applications are being processed by the Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure (DPHI).

As of 9 May 2025 nineteen (19) proposals been registered on the NSW Government Major Projects Portal for approximately 2600 new apartments. The majority of the development proposals are for 9 storey apartment buildings plonked in streets of single storey homes.
