As of the 11 January 2025, in Los Angeles there are:

• 11 dead
• 6 fires still raging
• More than 50 sq km ravaged
• 10,000 buildings destroyed
• 180,000 people evacuated
• $150 billion in damages, as a result of the wildfires.

FOKE has repeatedly warned the NSW Government that Ku-ring-gai is one of the most bushfire prone areas in Sydney.

FOKE has submitted:

• evidence to the NSW Upper House Parliamentary Inquiry into the development of the Transport Oriented Development highlighting bushfire risks on 27 March 2024.
