Jan Langley Sustainability Award – East Lindfield Public School

We congratulate Nicole Chen for her award in recognition of her commitment to caring for Lindfield East Public School’s Eco Garden. Nicole diligently weeds, waters and harvest’s the garden’s produce. She also cares for her chickens, collects the playgrounds compost buckets, assists with recycling and mentors younger students.

This Award is presented each year in memory of Jan Langley who was a former Lindfield East Public School parent who volunteered for the school as well as being on the FOKE committee for many years by way of fulfilling her commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Jean Posen Environment Award – Lindfield Public School

The 2025 Jean Posen Environment went to year 6 student Annabel Reid. A student who exhibits passion, enthusiasm and a general commitment to improving sustainable practices and caring for the school environment.

The Award remembers Jean Posen, a long standing FOKE committee member and passionate advocate for speaking out and protecting Ku-ring-gai’s environment and heritage. Three of Jean’s grandchildren attended the Lindfield Public School.
