FOKE’s ultimate mission is to work to protect Ku-ring-gai’s heritage and environment so our generation can pass onto future generations and families of Ku-ring-gai a sustainable and healthy future. With the state government’s policy focussed primarily in producing an abundance of housing without appropriate place based strategic planning and infrastructure, there will be an inevitable negative cost to Ku-ring-gai and Sydney resident’s lifestyle and wellbeing if we do not continue to act.
FOKE will continue to research, write, submit and speak up on proposals that affect Ku- inggai – and to defend the right of every resident to a genuine voice in decisions about their neighbourhood. I thank every member, volunteer and supporter who has written submissions, attended meetings and stood with us this year. Your efforts are what keep this organisation effective and respected, and they remain our greatest strength as we face the year ahead of us.
As a committee we ask for your continuing support to help in alleviating the worst impacts from the NSW Government’s autocratic and destructive planning and housing policies.
We wish our members a happy, safe and healthy year ahead and look forward to welcoming you all to the 32nd AGM in 2027.
